Would you know the difference??

Made my gorgeous daughter in law a cup of tea about an hour ago.
She asked me what I had used, it tasted different. Very polite, Amy said it was more creamy.

Apparently I had put the puppies powdered milk in, I was storing in an empty milk carton. 🙄

When you think fresh air is glass! There is really no hope

So on way up to Thirsk, called for Coffee and food at roadside garage.

Paid for it and coming out the automatic sliding doors wouldn’t open.
I walked back a few paces and then forward to try trigger it. – Nothing

Went to till – people paying so I just shouted the door won’t open.

The woman at the till shouted back
‘It is on permanently open’

I just walked out

Out of the mouth of babes and infants !

Setting off to Ben and Sara’s for a couple of nights with Archie, decided to take my parrotlet Bob in his travel cage.
5 year old Archie saw me and said,
‘You’re not taking bloody Bob are you?’

‘Don’t swear Archie’, I said

He responded, ‘you do’ 🥴

What a mess!!!

So at tea-time having 4 egg whites spare, I decided to turn them into meringue. That was my first mistake.

I whisked them with sugar and icing sugar, and they weren’t thickening. Please do not give me any advice on what I should have done next!!

So I poured mixture into my Bullet mixer and set it going. David not happy – watching tv and couldn’t hear it for noise. I took it into another room where we couldn’t hear it.

THEN FORGOT ABOUT IT. (This is sadly becoming the norm)

I could smell burning and on walking into the room I couldn’t believe my eyes. 4 chuffing egg yolks – they must have multiplied in the machine.

Good grief!!

Failing memory

So, last night Ben and Sara had a much needed night away.
I picked Fin up from school and took him to his martial arts. It all went splendidly.

This morning he woke at 5:15, and I got him his breakfast.

They live in a bungalow, noise carries- so I asked him to be a quiet as a mouse, because his granddad was in bed.

We had the tv on low, could just about hear it.

It was about 7 now, we had been whispering away for 1 1/2 hours, when I remembered David hadn’t come with me. He was at home and joining me today for tea.

In stupidness that just about takes the biscuit. I even convinced Finley he was there, he kept saying to me, ‘but grandma he is asleep, as I turned the volume up!!’
